For this project, our team installed a complete 3/8" plywood full roof underlayment, creating a solid, smooth, and reliable foundation for the new roofing system. This system is specifically designed for low-slope roofing areas and provides a durable, weather-resistant barrier against moisture intrusion.

The two-layer membrane system provides added protection by combining:

• GAF LIBERTY™ Self-Adhering Base/Ply Sheet – The first waterproofing layer installed over the prepared roof surface.

• GAF LIBERTY™ Self-Adhering Cap Sheet – A reinforced granulated membrane that provides the final protective surface and long-term weather resistance.

This no-torch, self-adhering roofing system offers a cleaner installation process while providing excellent protection for low-slope applications such as additions, garages, porches, and other areas where traditional shingles are not the ideal solution.
